Allysen Smith and Baylor Weathers founded Faunus in 2023 after finding lots of difficulty when accessing and sharing their pet's medical records with state hospitals and vet clinics.

After sharing the idea with several friends we learned that having a portable and easy way to share these documents was also a challenge for military families that move regularly, horse owners that travel to shows, transport companies that haul animals across state lines, and pet owners that love taking care of their pets.

We started building an app that would make accessing our pet's records easy and creating a platform that could seamlessly partner with vet clinics anywhere.
